	`Galabiya and Footwear` by young director Ahmed Nour The documentary film `Galabiya and Footwear` by youth director Ahmed Nour will be screened in the Karmat Ibn Hanie Cultural Centre at the Ahmed Shakwi Museum at 7.30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 18. The audience will be led by Dr. Ashraf Reda, the Head of the Sector of Fine Art, who will be escorted by artists and art critics. `Galabiya and Footwear` set in a poor village and Cairo, is the story of a young man named Bakri, who is divided between two widely different worlds: his simple birthplace and the metropolitan city of Cairo. The young man undergoes a cultural struggle when he was offered a job in a cultural centre in the posh district of Zamalek. The film is screened to mark the reopening of the Karmat Ibn Hanie Cultrual Centre after it underwent restoration and development. `Galabiya and Footwear` won the Golden Pyramid Award in the Media Art Festival in 2008 in Egypt. The documentary film was also screened in the Mediterranean Biennale in Italy in 2008, the film festival in Ireland, the film festival in Poland, in Morocco, in Jordan and in Tunisia.
