| 2nd Festival of Graffiti with Hip Hop Music |

| Under auspices of Artist/ Farouk Hosny `Minister of Culture`, Artist/ Mohsen Shaalan `Head of Fine Arts Sector` inaugurates exhibition of the 2nd Festival of Graffiti on Tuesday, 2nd of December 2008, at 7:00 PM, Mahmoud Mokhtar Cultural Center- Mahmoud Mokhtar Museum. This exhibition will be accompanied by Hip Hop music concert of Asfalt Band, and comes as the outcome of two workshops; the first of them was held from 3rd till 9th of November with the participation of 28 artists, and the second one from 16th till 25th of November with the participation of 31 artists who were all young. Among them are: `Farida khalil, Lila Sherif, Omar Ali, Hend Nawar, Amr Qenawy, Samah Al-Leithy, Halim Shaarany, Marwa Ibrahim, Muhammad Aboud, ……`. Professor Salah Al-Melegy `Head of Central Administration of Museums and exhibitions` said that Graffiti Festival comes as a continuation of liberation from traditional framework of Fine display through presenting creative production distinguished on technical and execution level. Tamer Assem `Director of the Center` adds that this festival continues its success in the coming year through 58 artists who gained through these workshops great experience in this brand-new field; along with its increasing audience that added upon this festival interaction and optimism in artists who felt the intimacy of this connection with audience. |
